In the Norse period, the name ‘Miklagard’ was used for Istanbul, which was an important meeting and trading centre for travellers. Ullensaker also has strong ties to the Vikings and is named after the ski and hunting god Ull. In addition, the area around the hotel includes tombs and archaeologically important finds from the Viking Age. The history of the place is an important part of our hotel. That’s why we bear our name Miklagard with pride and respect.

Memorable encounters
Some of the most memorable experiences in life take place around a dining table and for that reason, food and drink play a major role in the guest experience at Miklagard.
We provide our guests with dining experiences that inspire, challenge and gather and become a natural topic of conversation around the table.
Our menu will be developed on raw materials from local suppliers near the hotel.
